Under Armour Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback

From Everything.Sucks

Under Armour, Inc. is an American company that manufactures footwear, sports, and casual apparel.[2] Under Armour's global headquarters are located in Baltimore, Maryland with additional offices located in Amsterdam (European headquarters), Austin, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Houston, Jakarta, London, Mexico City, Munich, New York City, Panama City (international headquarters), Paris, Pittsburgh, Portland, San Francisco, São Paulo, Santiago, Seoul, Shanghai (Greater Chinese headquarters), and Toronto.

In 2015, Under Armour released plans for their new Under Armour Fitness Performance Center powered by FX Studios at the Bank of America Building at 10 Light Street in Baltimore. The Fitness Performance Center is planned to take place in the building's lobby, covering historic murals of Baltimore's history by art deco artist Hildreth Meiere with artificial turf flooring. This plan has been seen as controversial due to the fact that Kevin Plank, Nate Costa (president of FX Studios) and developer Cary Euwer used state and federal tax credits to restore the historical building, yet the historical murals are being covered up by turf flooring.[75] Many historians and local Baltimoreons have expressed public outcry that the design should be reconsidered and the murals should be saved. A extract from the article published back in November 2015 by BALTIMORE BREW: Euwer’s plan to convert the high-rise from offices to apartments has drawn praise from business leaders and elected officials for helping preserve the city’s only Art Deco skyscraper and for providing another place for people to live in the city. The Downtown Partnership of Baltimore honored Euwer for his efforts during its annual fall meeting.

According to preservationists, the artificial turf will hide one of the building’s most significant architectural features and prevent visitors from seeing one of Meiere’s finest works – ironically, just as she is receiving renewed national attention in the form of a book and a traveling exhibit organized by the Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

"the management at under armour at Woodbury commons as of 2020 they will make your life annoying when your there you could be going through personal matters they will not care and tell u keep working and make the store money I had to leave because I had to take care of personal matters and working there if the regional manger is there for a visit they will annoy you you could help every customer in the store and they will still want to help people that won't want the help, anyone, the mangers are more worried about sales than their employees well being if u want to feel part a team than this job isn't it Cons: Management"

Assist Store Manager (Former Employee) says

"too much change...never consistent with corporate to the retail stores...everyone is out for themselves...working hard diesnt guarantee you advancement"

Picker/Packer (Former Employee) says

"This job is not a job for anyone with a brain. This is a low caliber company with a mindset of a sweat shop atmosphere and management mentality. The workers are paid too low and anyone higher including that owner are paid way too much. Look elsewhere for a job. You have been warned."

Sales Associate (Seasonal) says

"They hired me for a seasonal position in the stock room. I worked maybe 3 days out of the 4 weeks I was hired! They continued to call to say they didn't need me for this day and that day. After a while I forgot I worked there. I bought $50 shoes to complete my uniform being that is the only shoe you can wear apart of your uniform. A waste!!"

Assistant Store Manager (Former Employee) says

"Worst retail experience I've ever had. And I was an assistant manager for over a year here. If I didnt like the brand so much I woulda been out much sooner. Too many times I saw part timers get taken advantage of and the turnover was SO HIGH! HR and district management hold hands 24/7 so impossible for anyone to report ANYTHING. 4am shifts, overnights, minimum wage for part timers. Stay away! Cons: Culture, corruption, Hr, work/life balance"

Freight Team Associate/Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

"They over worked us and only used us to set up the store which was new and barley opening they had us doing more warehouse work than sales or stock work and then when the store did open they didn’t give us hiurs"

SALES ASSOCIATE (Former Employee) says

"Under Armour sucks big time it under pays its workers. And the managers at the Pearl location at that time sucked. All they wanted is someone that would kiss their butt"

Sales Associate (Former Employee) says

Package Handler (Former Employee) says

"They didn’t have work of us when we came in of work and we was not getting paid a lot and people was always high on the job they told us we had to be work at before 6"

Stock Associate (Former Employee) says

"Extremely toxic! I have never experienced such blind arrogance in management and favoritism with associates at any work place until working at this store. I would say the brand is fantastic but stay away from seeking employment at this location. No matter how hard employees worked it wasn’t good enough and zero support from management. They also cut hours to give to other employees of their liking. Highly unethical! Cons: Toxic"

Freight Team Associate (Former Employee) says

"Drama filled place, the management is a joke, and you slave and dont get paid much for it. Mangers were sleeping with employees and a guy was literally bullied everyday he came there and eventually quit."

Sales (Former Employee) says

"管理層作風有問題,啲同事都唔正常,跑半公私同事爭蹦頭,底薪低,福利差⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯⋯"

Crew Member (Former Employee) says

"when you go to first team interview they will make it sound good but when you exactly star working there they will make you come all the way out Curtis bay just to tell you there are never no work and you have to stand on a dark bus stop alone"

Picker and invertory (Former Employee) says

"I didn't like the lack of management..long hours and long days.no real break time and awhole lost of work that needed to be done.and also long drives from my home"

"nothing is professional, management does not help in regards to sexual assault claims. overall bad place to work because of the clients and co-workers"

Stock/ Sales (Former Employee) says

"Do yourself a favor and stay away. Workedy begins off for a month only to have shifts cut completely with no explanation. They want you working at a pace that burns you out within an hour. Highly recommend that you don’t work here. Store manager was alright, other managers were awful. Cons: Literally everything"

Order Picker (Current Employee) says

"Not a good job .... lack of supervision ... low pay short breaks we don’t get pay fair the job is just out of order you can’t grow at this company it’s just not a good place"

"I have been working at Under Armour part-time for more than a year Cons: Management is horrible. Communication is horrible. Pay is horrible. It's a joke. No one is held accountable for anything and it's a miserable atmosphere to be in."

Current Employee - Engineer says

"I have been working at Under Armour full-time for more than a year Cons: Closed-minded people with no dignity"

Former Employee - Sales says

"I worked at Under Armour part-time for less than a year Cons: poor management with no work ethic"

Current Employee - Senior Manager Supply Chain says

"I have been working at Under Armour full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Poor work life balance. No clear path for advancement. Frequent layoffs (4 in 5.5 years) each time resulting in fewer teammates being left with more work. Still very much a “boy’s club” even with HR’s push for diversity and inclusion. Toxic culture and as a result, teams are divided and do not work well together. Very evident that some teams are held accountable for their dates and gates while others are not, which leads to internal disputes and frustrations."

Former Employee - Human Resources Business Partner says

"I worked at Under Armour full-time for more than 5 years Cons: The best way I can describe working there is to say it was like an abusive relationship. The culture was terrible and the disrespect from employees and management was beyond the pale. If the corporate office was a parent, CPS would have taken their “warehouse children” and put them straight into foster homes and intensive therapy. Everyday you were beat down emotionally and just physically drained from the overall treatment and the lack of a work/life balance. At the same time you were brainwashed into thinking you were part of something special - which is what kept you coming back for more. Another day of abuse because ‘UA thinks I’m special, they only hit me because they love me…right?’ Working there was not a team sport, it was every man/woman for himself/herself. It was like everyone was a javelin thrower of varying skill set with the goal of plunging the tip straight into your back."

Former Employee - Supply Chain says

"I worked at Under Armour full-time Cons: This place does not reward merit. There are some great leaders on the VP and Director level. But there are also dinosaurs in senior/mid-level management, and a high percentage of dishonest and mean people who hold the company back in terms of terrible culture, product design, consumer connection, incompetence, lack of accountability/effective KPIs, operational disorganization -- . The IT systems are a joke for a company this size -- it's a wonder how any product actually gets out the door without completely angering every wholesaler, supplier, business partner they do business with (and I'm pretty sure they do.. look at how DSG decreased orders and floor space). Terribly disorganized fray and departments don't talk with one another (apparel/accessories and footwear all use different product management systems with a lot of manual Excel work that can be automated). Low pay/comp/benefits. This place is a joke. Also if you're a minority, don't work here. There's a reason they don't publish their diversity and inclusion stats like literally every other responsible company."

Current Employee - Anonymous Employee says

"I have been working at Under Armour full-time for more than 3 years Cons: Terrible C-suite that micromanages every aspect of the business, leading to nothing much of anything getting done. VPs end up taking the blame even though they are handcuffed by incompetence above them. Junior level staff are taken advantage of, expected to work ridiculous hours, pick up slack caused by the constant turnover. No reward or promotion for doing that because "it is expected to take on more work". Promotions go to those in the "in crowd", doesn't matter about the quality of there work or there ability to perform at the next level. If you are friends with the right people, not a complete idiot, work 60-70 hours a week, and do it with the enthusiasm of a cult follower then you may be successful at Under Armour. Otherwise this is a terrible place to go. Don't listen to the recruiters who say to discount bad reviews, don't listen to them about bonus expectations. In a great year you may get your bonus target, in a really good year you will get 50-70%, in just a good year you may not get anything."

"Recently had a very shady experience trying to return items to Under Armour. After sending back 3 items purchased online, I received an email confirming receipt and assuring me a full refund would be issued within 5 days. Over a month later I realized my visa had not been credited the refund. Called customer service and apparently there had been a system error and the refund was “hung up” in the system. Assured I would be credited the refund within 48 hours. A day later I received a partial credit to my visa (not even 50%). So had to call back again...again, blamed it on another system error. What a scam. I think they are just hoping you won’t notice so they can pocket the money."

suzanne talbott says

"Under armor has the worst customer service imaginable. I called four times today asked to speak to a supervisor because I was getting nowhere with people who didn’t either understand English or who didn’t know how to give good customer service I have purchased sneaker socks which ride down under my heel when I walk and I wanted a replacement. I gave my email I explained I didn’t have a receipt anymore I bought them during the year of Covid and had them in a package and then took them out and started wearing them recently. I got cut off three timesI was on hold for maybe 10 minutes one time in eight minutes the other time. No supervisor no service. A terrible company don’t deal with them"

Lana Bergenblatt says

"Coupon code that they sent me worked on the order, but I was still billed for the price before the coupon code was applied. In talking to multiple CSR's, I discovered this is a very common problem. Suffice it to say, I will never place another underarmour.com order ever again! BUYER BEWARE!!!"

Shefali Khanna says

"Bought under armour hovr shoes for INR15,000 and the fabric is wearing off in my 4th month of purchase - Customer service team refuses a replacement - never again Please note that we offer exchange of products in case of manufacturing defects in the warranty period of 90 days only. We regret to mention that we will not be able to offer you an exchange here. Regards, Customer Service Team Sent: Wednesday, January 27, 2021 11:59 AM To: Customer Care India Subject: Re: Defective shoe and requesting for a replacement Dear CS Team, The shoes was bought on 20th August 2020 during the Pandemic and hardly been used due to our society under lockdown as there were many cases. Thereafter due to the severe cold in Gurgaon one has hardly stepped out. I was in touch with the customer care chat online on the website early December but till not did not find a resolution. I then had to reach out to your MD - Tushar GOCULDAS. There is no question of abrasion with an external agent. The fabric tear of the shear is a defect and one doesn’t pay INR15,000 for it to tear in 4 months. I expect a replacement and not a mending for something this expensive. Look forward to hearing from you at the earliest."

Kristina Voss says

"Ridiculous! Issue an e-card instead of original payment for a mail in return. So annoyed. Website doesn’t state this. I would have hoped per Covid they would have been flexible. Customer service is clueless. “Talks” to a supervisor and puts me on hold. Warehouse is a joke. Don’t purchase from here if you have to end up returning an item. They just want you dang money."

Ronan Wilson says

"Ordered one simple base layer from Underarmour.ie ( an Irish domain, as I live here!) made the terrible mistake of not checking where the site was based, which was in the Netherlands. However the item was shipped form the UK and I'm told there is a delay due to Brexit! What a show, this was ordered on Jan 7th ( to avoid Christmas delays) now its Jan 27th, nearly 3 weeks later and still not here. UPDATE: FEB 9th, still not arrived, asked for refund which was given."

Daniel Ionut Burduhos says

"If I could I would give a minus 5 stars. Customer service no use, delivery time shambolic. I ordered something on the 11th of this month every day the status of that parcel changes. They would blame covid and brexit but I don't care, if you cannot provide shopping experience for customer online don't do it."

Farzaanah Ullah says

"Under armour is one of the worst customer service, i call to make a complaint about an item that was supposed to be on sale , I call customer service and got someone from another country that i barley understood i kept asking to speak to a supervisor she said there's no supervisor then put me on hole for 45 mins, the female kept repeating herself over and over i don't think she understand a word what i was saying so annoying this is the second time this is happening with under armour, so long never again , one very upset customer 😡"

JMZ says

"They continue to lose appeal with many. Especially sports teams i.e. college that are under contract to wear their stuff. My son attends Seton Hall University and I would like to sport some gear in support of the school with SH logo stuff. The quality is so poor that toilet paper has a better thread count than what UA puts out. Not to mention who or what ever is in charge of logo/designs for the Universities should be held accountable. I can only imaging how many collegiate teams jump ship as soon as contracts are up for renegotiation. It's inevitable."

cPaperless cPaperless says

"Terrible! Can’t deliver anything on time. Takes your expedited fee and only refunds if you gripe about the weeks it takes to facilitate an order. Honestly, stay with Nike and forget UA. Bought an order and paid overnight shipping and order is taking weeks now! Unreal. Never buy from this company again."

sean joseph says

"I would give a zero if I could. It took me a month since I ordered Under Armour. Still not delivered. Customer service sucks. I suggest anyone out there not to order Under Armour."

D_IRL says

"Over a week and still awaiting delivery despite being told order was shipped. No response to email enquiries. Lost confidence and trust in Underarmour."

Georges Jaoudeh says

"Under Armour became the worst business worldwide, rated as the worst Quality products , worst customer service ( they have no english speakers associates ) and the worst shipping policy ever .... UA, is an insult to the American business ( actually , i doubt if they have anything american in their business )."

Mark Hoefle says

"Underarmour online ordering is a joke. Went to order an item priced at $30. The shopping cart summary says order $30 or more and standard shipping is free, which is a lie - shipping charge still shows in the order. So didn't place the order but left it in the shopping cart. Later I get an email saying that if I completed my order, I would get free shipping, another lie, as the shipping charge still shows in the order. Went on chat, and the agent was pretty much useless."

Patrick01/17 says

"Worst customer service probably ever. I had two pairs of $90 hockey compression shorts tear on me after the first use. Total after taxes is $200 for 2 products. Contacted customer service literally ten times, every time they have no idea what’s going on, why the refunds weren’t processed, and then proceed to waste my time further by asking me questions I’ve already answered ten times. It’s blatantly clear based on that fact, that they don’t notate anything when you call them otherwise none of this would need to be “re-verified”. I spend, or have spent thousands of dollars annually on Under Armour products. I am officially discontinuing the use of their products and sending my business to Nike. Who’s customer service is consistently fantastic. Extremely disappointed. And after literally hours of my time trying to get this sorted I’ve given up due to frustration. If I ran my business like this I would be out of business."

Tric says

"Terrible. I order Christmas presents Dec 8th. I was owed two refunds from the order that took me hounding customer service to receive. I had one item that only just arrived after contacting customer service over 10 times. Worst service I have ever received. And no one responds to your feedback that it’s been awful."

Shane Oglesby says

"I just bought The under armor shoes in my experience with it is that they’re not worth the money that they’re being charge for all I did was tear up my feet cause me to have to go to the hospital it is a very low rated shoe and I do not recommend it to any future buyers it’s was a total wast of 60 $ it is My first and last experience with this horrible product"

Priya Manglani says

"I had the worst experience with under armour customer service. I ordered one shoes and paid for 2 day shipping but it did not fit me well so I requested for an exchange of 8.5 size and they again sent me size 8 which came after 3 weeks so I had to again speak with them about the wrong size for which they again shipped me the shoes this time it was 8.5 but it never reached to me and when I asked them they said fedex is facing some issues so it might be possible that the package is lost. So, overall i waited for more than 1.5 months to get my shoes for my vacations which never reached and all thanks to under armour’s worst service!"
